Introduction

Timeless Technologies has experience in many industries, not the least of which is the area of health services. We at Timeless Technologies hold the belief that helping people should come foremost, which is why we empathize so greatly with the health profession and consequently seek so earnestly to engage in projects which assist this domain. To date, we have worked on several projects including work on the Prince Edward Island 911 System, along with two sophisticated health care applications.

Cancer Registry System

A system was developed by Timeless for the Queen Elizabeth Hospital to assist in the understanding of the effects of treatment on cancer patients on Prince Edward Island. This advanced system connects the information from the oncology department with the tumour and patient registry and allows for information to be collated in a manner where researchers can analyze and determine the best practices. It provides the statistical base to ensure that Prince Edward Islanders receive the best medical treatments possible for their cancers. It allows for the automation of information exchanges with the Canadian Cancer Registry, the NAACR database. and other registries. The registry has recently been modified to include a collaborative staging module.

Blood Transfusion Tracking System

Timeless Technologies was entrusted with the task of developing a blood management system for the Queen Elizabeth Hospital & Prince County Hospital. All blood products entering the health care system from Canadian Blood Services are identified, inventoried and tracked through their use. Blood products can be reserved in advance for impending surgeries and cross matched to ensure suitable blood is available instantly in emergency situations. The BTTS system provides management for transfusion patients and provides surveillance at both the Provincial and National levels.
