Introduction

The Cancer Registry System was designed to allow for the timely and accurate collection, distribution and analysis of information relating primarily to patients and tumours of Prince Edward Island residents. This information would be collected in such a manner as to allow for an electronic interchange of data with the Canadian Cancer Registry, and other related parties.

The CRS is a Windows based product designed to run under the Microsoft Windows 98/NT/2000 operating systems. It provides commands that allow the user to manage patients and tumours, and provides a variety of reports, import routines, and export routines for the collection and dissemination of data. Main application functionality can be accessed through a main application menu system. Ergonomically placed command buttons access frequently used commands.
